Questions About Your Conditions or Treatments?

We know navigating vascular care can come with questions. Find answers to some of the most common questions about appointments, referrals, conditions, treatments, and what to expect from your visit.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

We require referrals except for varicose vein and spider vein issues and existing patients, unless they are presenting with a new problem. Call or contact our office to request a consultation.

Where are you located?

Our main office is located in Franklin, TN. We also have two satellite offices in Columbia and Shelbyville.

 

 
What should I bring for my first appointment?

You should bring your current insurance information, a list of any medications you are presently taking, and any relevant medical history.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Columbia, Shelbyville, and communities throughout Middle Tennessee.

What are varicose veins?

Varicose veins are veins that become swollen and enlarged.

What are spider veins?

Veins easily seen through the skin and are usually found on the legs or face. They are smaller and can be red, purple, or blue.

What is AAA?

An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) occurs when an area of the abdominal aorta expands or bulges.

What is PVD/PAD?

Peripheral artery disease (PAD), also known as peripheral vascular disease (PVD), is a chronic, progressive condition where plaque builds up in the arteries throughout the body. It involves the arteries outside the heart, typically the legs.

What is angioplasty?

Angioplasty uses a small balloon, inserted into a narrowed artery, to widen it and restore blood flow.

What is a stent?

A stent is a small mesh tube placed inside a narrowed artery to hold it open. Stenting is often done along with angioplasty.
